GET was accorded to design and build three beaches – south, middle and – north – to both enhance quality of life for the local community and help develop tourism. The task involved dredging the swimming area measuring 9 kilometers long, 575 meters wide and 1.8 meters deep, importing beach sand, constructing groynes and breakwater to stabilize the sand and constructing seating areas for family leisure. The result is a continuous beach roughly 9 kilometers long and 80 meters wide.
